Gmail is free, the email service provided by Google. Just sign up for a Gmail account, you can use all Google services such as: Gmail, Maps, YouTube, Google Drive and much more. It’s also called Google Account. New a Gmail account is very easy with few steps.
This is a how-to guide that shows you step by step of creating a new Google Account.
Set up a new Google Account: Step-by-step
Go to www.gmail.com. Now Google will redirect you to their “Service Login” page. Click on “Create account” link under sign in section, or follow our direct link for Gmail Sign up!
Google will require you to enter some personal information, such as your first and last name. And then you will have to choose your username. This will be used to create your own unique email address firstname.lastname@example.org. Be aware that some username may not be available, so you might have to come up with a different username.
If you fill any field incorrect, Google will show you an error message to help you walk through it.
Please choose a strong password to keep your account secure by using a mix of letters, numbers, and symbols in your password.
In case you prove you’re not a robot by typing the text in the captcha image, you don’t need to verify your mobile phone anymore. But it’s better to use your mobile phone and your current email address for recovering your email address later if you have any troubles with it.
Once you have filled out all of the information, click on ‘Next Step’. You will be asked to complete your user profile. You can complete it now or just skip it for later.
Congratulations, you have created your new Google Account, and Google gives you access to Google products like Gmail, Google+, YouTube, and more.
Continue to login to Gmail Account, see Gmail Login tutorial.
In the bottom left of Google Drive, hover over your storage usage to see the detail information, or hover over the chart at Storage Settings to see the details.
Buy a storage plan
If you’re reaching your storage limit, you can buy more storage. Your upgraded plan will be your new total storage limit. For example, if you upgrade to 1TB, your storage limit is 1TB (not 1TB + 15GB of free storage)
Until 2010, Google’s email service was known as “Google Mail” (and not Gmail) in the United Kingdom (U.K). And now it’s called Gmail in Germany too! From now on, anybody who signs up for a new Gmail account will get an @gmail.com address instead of @googlemail.com.
If you already use Google Mail and would prefer an @gmail.com address, you have the option to change to the matching @gmail.com username. If you make this address swap, it only affects your address; your account settings, contacts, and existing mail won’t change, and any mail sent to your old @googlemail.com address will automatically be redirected to your new address.
If you would like to change your @googlemail.com address to @gmail.com, just click “switch to @gmail.com” in the “Accounts” tab in your Gmail Settings (this link will only show up if you’re eligible to change your address).
Google released a new type of Gmail, it’s called Inbox. Inbox is not Gmail : it’s not the inbox you often see when you login your Gmail, it’s a completely different experience. Designed to focus on what really matters, Inbox is an effort of people who brought you Gmail to give all the users a little more control over email overload, which tends to overwhelm many of our inboxes.
We receive email from partners, friends… we store important files, we send necessary information… Everyone can send you an email if they know your email address, no matter where you are, it’s free and fast, but it also means you you may receive much more email than you expect, the important email is buried under hundreds of messages. Inbox is designed to help you focus on important messages and save your time. The new Inbox by Gmail is a significant improvement in how you manage your email. Inbox, it’s open to everyone now, no invitation required!
Bundles: stay organized automatically: Inbox bundles group similar types of mail at once. For example: Finance bundles, all your purchase receipts or bank statements are neatly grouped together so that you can quickly review and then swipe them out of the way. You can even teach Inbox to adapt to the way you work by choosing which emails you’d like to see grouped together.
Highlights: the important info at a glance: Inbox know what is important information in your message, and it highlights the key information for you, even it’s from the web that wasn’t in the orginal email as your flights.
Reminders, Assists, and Snooze: your to-do’s on your own terms: Inbox intergate Reminders, Snoonze, everything to help you better manage your work, your email. Your inbox becomes a centralized place to keep track of the things you need to get back to.
More control with Undo Send, Swipe to Delete and Signatures:
With Undo Send – just like “Undo Send” in Gmail lab, with Inbox, you can take back an email right after sending in case you spotted a mistake, or have second thoughts
If you’d rather get rid of messages, you can make ‘Delete’ the default swiping action
If you want to personalize your sent messages, you can now add a custom signature
Inbox on Mobile
Beside of Gmail app on mobile device (iOS/Android), there is Inbox app also on mobile app for you. It’s really a great app that we highly recommend it for you.

If you found any strange behaviors while using Gmail such as: strange email in your Sent Box that you didn’t send appear, or some messsages have disappeared, or your Gmail settings have changed but you didn’t do it as: signature, forwarding emails, filters, …it’s possile that your account has been compromised.
